Message I sold a TT engine last year to my friend and he's just starting his build to drop it in his NA Z...

He doesn't have any intercooler piping at all and no stock smics...

The shop told him it is cheaper for them to get fmic and fabricate the piping then to buy smics like stillens and piping... like almost doubled the cost... but my main argument over this is that it may make the car hotter since its blocking air flow to the rad and oil cooler... but then he said that the radiator is gonna have to be upgraded anyway...

I am kind of excited about the circumstance since it is theoretically better support for high HP Z's but im not 100% sure if this route is best choice... and that it is overkill BUT i mostly was surprised that the cost was cheaper.

Shop quoted 800$ for fmic and custom piping...

vs

probably ashspec massives + 2.5 piping im guessing about over 2000$ after shipping, taxes, and duty to Canada.
